Carob Goodness on the Fleurieu

The Carob Kitchen is a family owned business run right here on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The Carob Orchard is in Port Elliot and it is a peaceful place with sweeping views to the ocean.

They are on of two commercial carob orchards in Australia and their Carobs have taken them fifteen years to produce enough beans to turn into 'Gourmet Goodies'.

The carob is grown using organic methods and the orchard and products are family owned.

The property has 3500 carob trees on it.

Carob is an excellent source of dietary fibre and contains a wealth of minerals, especially rich in calcium and iron.
